Dear Family and Friends,

The year has just flown by! Lily is going to 'big school' next year and Jack just turned 3 and is starting pre-school next year. Here they are on Jack's 3rd Birthday. They are such good friends. Jack misses Lily when she goes to pre-school.

Jack had a little party with his friends. He really wanted to play 'pass the parcel'.

He also requested a "blue cake train" so Mummy accommodated this.

What a cheeky boy!

Here is one of Lily's best friends from pre-school. Her name is Keyurie.

Lily had her Christmas concert last week and did such a good job at dancing and doing the actions. Here she is with her graduation certificate from pre-school. Well done, Lily!

We celebrated Christmas with the Petterson's a few weekends ago. It was a great family time.

Here is Pa reading the Christmas story of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ to the grandchildren.

The kids are very excited about the baby. Lily keeps telling Mummy how big her tummy is!

Daddy helped the kids plant a flower each.

We took Jack to Featherdale Wildlife park for part of his birthday present. He had a great time as did we all. Uncle Ben, Aunty Christelle and Starr came too!

The kids have started swimming lessons. We always have a swim afterwards.

Ben, Christelle, Rohan and Amanda went away for a weekend to Hidden Valley. It was a great relaxing weekend. We went horse riding (well except Amanda coz she is pregnant) and everyone had a good time.

Hello all!

It has been a while so thought I would update the blog. Jack is 2 and a half and Lily has just turned 4 going on 14! They are so much fun and we love them heaps!

Lily had a fairy party and Hungry Jacks with her friends. They all had a ball!

Keyurie is from her pre-school.
Lily is was so excited about the face painting. Crystal and Matilda are also from pre-school. What lovely faires. And a handsome little piarate on the end.Lily got a doll house from Mummy and Daddy for her bday...and lots of other goodies. Jack loves the doll house as much as she does (maybe even more!)

For those who know Roh well.....knows that he does not like cats. Lily asked for over 12 months for a cat and well....look! Blakie is now a part of the family.

We adopted him at 5 months old. The kids love him!

He was the only cat that let Lily pick him up and just stay there in her arms.
Jack was more interested in the cat toys!

We went on a camping trip at walk-about-wildlife park. It was great fun! Thanks Nana and Pa for the cool Christmas present. Jack is patting a dingo and Lily is looking at a bat.

Mummy turned 30 this year. Daddy threw her a big party. We all had a great time.

Lily got a baby alive doll for Christmas. Jack loves to help care for her too. Lily and Jack pretend to be Unlce Ben and Aunty Christelle and this is baby Starr. When she plays with me I am Uncle Ben.....i guess we do look alike!

hello there,
Happy Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
This is a bit delayed but here are the photos from our snow trip in August. We went to Selwyn show fields and had a great time.

Jack was a bit tired! I kept dragging him up the hill though on the tobogin and he enjoyed riding down. Lily and Jack enjoyed riding together too.

When we came back from the snow i met my new little neice named Starr Hope Petterson. She is now 5 months old and is such a smiley little bubby. Ben is a very proud daddy!

On holidays at Sydney Aquarium!

Hello family,

We went to the Sydney Aquarium today and had a ball! Lily and Jack just loved seeing all the fish, sharks, dugongs, penguins, running up and down the ramps and climbing up as many walls as they could to see the animals! Lily now wants to be a mermaid when she grows up.

Two big personalities!!

Hello family and friends,

It has been a while but here we are again. Our two little loves are getting so big so quickly! They both have very strong wills and personalities. Lily is a lovely little girl with big blue eyes, long curly hair and loves to enjoy life. She loves dancing, being outside, watching tv, playing with her little brother (and beating him up!), doing craft, going to pre-school, craftworks and little treasures at Church (Sunday School). She is starting to play alot of make-believe games and only just today we had to try to get her off the floor at a shop as she was being a puppy! Her vocabulary has increased and she is so much easier to communicate with. She is great company and lots of fun.

Jack is growing up so fast too! He has started the 2 year old tantrums already even though he is 18 months old. He is very good at saying "Thank you" for food and his dummy. He is starting to say more words such as puppy, birdy, book, bible, shoes, hat, i do (which means i love you!), hello and more! He is a happy little boy but certainly not as social as Lily was. He is more cautious of people and will often give new people or those he hasn't seen for a while filthy looks. It's funny! Him and Lily already have rumbles with each other and he is fighting back now. I didn't realise sibling rivalry started so young! He misses Lily when she goes to pre-school on Fridays and is very excited to pick her up with Daddy at the end of the day. Lily and Jack play well together and Jack loves to follow Lily around. Lily has told me "Jack is annoying Mummy" as he tries to sit next to her on the lounge to watch tv. But then also tells me "i love Jack". She is so proud of him and readily tells everyone that he is her brother.

Here is Jack wanting to be just like Daddy and work next to him. Jack and Lily miss their Daddy so much when he goes to work. Sometimes Daddy gets home before the kids go to bed and they run up to the door with squeals of delight calling out "Daddy! Daddy!"

This is some of Lily's beautiful artwork that she has done at pre-school and craftworks. Lily loves to paint! Her drawing is getting better too as she is able to draw circles and her favourite teddy 'big ted'. She can also draw fish and is practising putting eyes and ears on circles for faces.

Lily and Jack love to dance....here they are with some friends having a good time stomping around to the 'dinosaur roar'.

What a handsome boy. We went to Amanda's cousins wedding (Adrian and Emily) and the kids had a ball! Lily danced almost all night!

She even danced with Blake, Amanda's cousin! She tapped Daddy on the leg and said "I want to dance with that man" and pointed to Blake. How cute!

Lily loves Jack so much she left her mark on him! (She bit him....hmmmm naughty girl!!!)

Lily turned 3 on 29th March. This is a photo of her with her friends from mothers group celebrating all of their 3rd Birthdays.

Jack's first hair cut!!! He did so well and sat very still. The barber had this cool racing car chair to sit in!!!

Easter! The kids had a lovely time at Easter. The Easter bunny left Lily and Jack eggs in the garden. How exciting!

And Lily found Jesus too!!! We teach the kids the true meaning of Easter about Jesus. On Good Friday Daddy helped the kids make Jesus out of cardboard with pipe cleaner arms and legs and put him in a tomb (made out of a tissue box). Then on Easter Sunday the tomb is empty and the kids have to search for Jesus! Lily found him in the garage!!!!

The kids love their bibles. We read them a story every day from it and Lily knows many stories already from the bible.

Here is the castle cubby house Daddy is building for the kids. What a great job and even though its not finished the kids loves to play in it. They both play shops through the windows and play with rocks and sand in there. Great fun!

Here is Lily with her birthday cake she took to pre-school. They sang 'happy birthday' to her and the other kids loved it!

Lily had an easter hat parade at pre-school and here she is with her bonnet that she made with a nest of chickens on top.

She had a ball! After the parade the kids sang songs and listened to a story about Easter from a member from the Anglican church. Jack really enjoyed it and was very proud of his big sister. She just adores pre-school! We love that it is a Christian centre and she has a few little friends from church there on the same day she goes and has many other friends too.

Reading! This was not set up either! They sit near each other and read or play. I just love to watch them sometimes. They are just so sweet!

In Feb we went on our first family camping trip at Newnes. It was a fun time. But tiring! We tried taking the kids for a bush walk to see some ruins and they both fell asleep on Daddy!!!

We did make it to see some of the ruins.....old coke ovens.

We had a great time! We went swimming, walking, sat in front of a camp fire toasting marsh mellows and having a nice time as a family. We want to do more camping but a bit cold at the moment.

Popcorn! We went camping to celebrate Daddy and Lily's Birthday. What a fun time!

Newnes is a great place to camp. It's great being out in the middle of no where surrounded by God's creation.

Oh and Jack is walking around everywhere! Running really! They love to go for walks and riding their bikes / trikes. Jack loves to climb and so gets a few bruises here or there. He is a true boy and loves cars, trucks, air planes and anything with wheels. If a toy does not have wheels he will push is along the ground as though it should.

We love Lily and Jack so much and we are really enjoying watching them grow and develop. We hope you enjoy seeing it too with our blog.

Lil Pill and Jack-a-lack!

Lil Pill and Jack-a-lack are one of the nick names we have for our beautiful children. They both love ice-cream....just like Mummy and Daddy!

'I think Mummy and Daddy put phenergan in this!'

We went on a picnic with Mummy's side of the family to celebrate Jan, Feb birthdays. Jack got very dirty in the park and so had a little bath in the sink. He only just fit!

Lily has many sides to her personality. Above she is trying to get a serious look. Below is certainly her cheeky side!

I love cake! - says Lily

Mummy and Jack. Jack has taken his first steps and is trying to walk more and gain better balancing skills. He wouldn't walk for Mummy for a while. Daddy, Granma and my friend Emma had seen him walk first!! He is full of personality and knows how to get what he wants. He cries when Lily takes toys off him. Making such a loud noise that it makes us believe Lily has done something to hurt him. Or like today he grabs his toy (it was a little ball) and crawls away as fast as he can before she gets it!!

Lily loves to laugh! She is very social and loves being with her friends. Here she is with her friend Amelia making popcorn. What a great Christmas present Aunty Katie! They thought is was hilarious watching the popcorn spit out!

And again Lily and Jack socialising with Amelia and Elijah. It's good to have play mates!

Lily started pre-school this year on Fridays. She just loves it! She hasn't cried once and wants to go each week. She loves playing with puzzles, being out in the sandpit which has a really cool house to play in and lots of toys, being on the climbing equipment, playing with her friends, painting and learning so many new skills and being independent.

She likes playing with play-doh. Here is a little creation she made. They both like sitting at their little table. Jack looks very proud when he climbs up on the chair!

It's a princess!

Lily likes princesses. She got this present for Christmas and loves to put make-up on her. She has requested Snow White on her Birthday cake this year....we will see what I can do, my love.

Proud Mummy and Daddy. I, Mummy went back to work this year on Friday afternoons while Lily is at pre-school. Daddy works at home that day to look after Jack while I'm at work. I've loved being back at work getting back into using my skills as a nurse but also the social side is great. Roh has been working very hard at his job. Often long hours and lots of travelling. So, working at home Fridays has been great bonding time with the kids. Jack has been a real Mummy's boy but lately with the time he gets with Daddy he wants to go to him just as much. It's lovely.

Lil's first day of pre-school! She was so excited! And did so well! She is doing really well with toilet training and pre-school has been a great help with that too. She is going to Uniting Kids Care which is a lovely Christian long day pre-school. Her best friend Caleb goes on the same day too. What a big girl....growing up so very fast! She is talking so well too. We are able to have conversations about her day (if she remembers what she did!) and she has such lovely manners. She keeps thanking me for cooking and thanking Daddy for going to work. How lovely! She is also very encouraging - repeating mine and Daddy's words when we go to the toilet 'Good girl Mummy. You have done a good job!'

After Christmas we went away to Tea Gardens with Rohan's family. It was a lovely time and the kids had a ball! Here is Jack enjoying playing outside. He is always pointing to go outside and gets upset if i say no. He loves the see-saw and sits on there singing 'see-saw, see-saw'. Both Roh and I love to watch both the kids enjoy new things and learn.

Christmas was a nice time. We had Christmas day with the McDonald's and Boxing Day with the Petterson's. They now only live 20mins from each other. Here is Jack with Pa and Uncle Ben clapping.

Oh and the new cat! Aunty Katie got a new cat named Jeremiah. He came to visit Nana and Pa's at Christmas too! Lily and Jack almost smothered the poor thing while we were there. They were both so very excited chasing him around all the time. We just could not get Lily to put the cat down and Jack squealed with excitement chasing after his as fast as he could crawl!

Lily is good at opening presents. Often she helps Mummy and Daddy too and anyone else who looks away for a second! A Dr's kit from Nana and Pa. She calls herself 'Dr Feel Good!' It's so funny! She loves to play dress ups.

The children are growing up so fast! We can't believe Lily will be 3 on the 29th March and Jack is just a beautiful little boy quickly growing up also. Oh and a wonderful thing is that they have both finally learned to sleep thru the night! Praise Jesus! Oh 2009 was a very tired year but we all feel quite refreshed now getting good nights sleeps. What a difference sleep can make!

A few more stories:

Lily loves to climb. I found her recently on the top of our Tv cabinet, she had done a wee all over the cabinet and been sticking stickers on the tv. Hmmm.....Mummy was not impressed!!!!

Jack and Lily like rugs. When we put one down they crawl/run all around laughing! It's very funny!

The 'I love you song' - Nana sang to Mummy when she was a little girl. Both Lily and Jack sing it at the end of their prayers. So precious!

Jack loves to copy our words and loves to sing and dance! When you put music on he wobbles around and stands up bouncing his leg up and down. He also likes to hum to music.

Lily has said to us recently she would like 2 baby brothers....hmmmm we will see! She loves babies. She will go up and look at them and then gently pat their face.

We are so very proud of Lily and Jack and hope you've enjoyed a few stories.

We had a lovely little party at the summer house near where Nana and Pa live.

Jack had some friends there - Jenna, Holly and of course his big sister, Lily. Here they are playing pass the parcel.

It was a big day for Jack - "it's my party and I'll cry if i want too!"

Happy birthday to you, Jack! - Lily was so excited that it was Jack's birthday. She had been waiting to eat all the food! and play with the balloons!

The kids are funny together. They play nicely at times and then other times not so nice. Lily up until now has had the upper hand being the eldest however, Jack is now getting his own back. He has figured out how to bite Lily - when he wants something. Oh dear! But they do also play together nicely. :)

We took the kids to the Glenbook fair recently and here is Lily, Jack and Daddy enjoying a Thomas the Tank Engine ride - they are on Clarabel. They both loved it.....i think Daddy did too!

Lily had her first pony ride at the fair. It was funny to watch her serious face as she rode the pony and the large helmet fall over her eyes and then get off and think it was great!

We have good fun at home together :)

Hello everyone!

It has been a little while since our blog has been updated but here we are finally. Lily is 2 and a half (going 21yrs!) and Jack is 10 months old. We have been very busy lately getting ready for Daddy to go overseas on a mission trip to Zambia. But here are some things that have been going on before this.

'Daddy showed me how to catch circadas. I like bugs!' says Lily

'I love to smile and laugh! Mummy says I'm a very happy baby. But sometimes I don't like to smile at strangers......I'm a bit shy!' says Jack.

Lily likes to play with play doh so Daddy is helping. Jack just adores watching anything Lily is doing. He thinks she is funny and he gets so excited when he hears her voice or if she walks in the room. I must admit it's not hard to know she is close by! :)

Jack hasn't quite got the hang of crawling yet but he gets very frustrated not being able to move around. He rolls all over the place to get to where he wants to go. He is not far from crawling though.

'This is my Dar. He came to visit us for lunch one day.'

'Pa came to visit us too for 4 days. It was nice we went out for breakfast and went to the park. I got to play on the swings and see the ducks!' says Lily.

'Pa is lots of fun. He would sing with us and read us stories' Jack says.

'Jack and I love to play in boxes. Daddy gave us a box each. We pretend we are in airplanes and boats. It's lots of fun!' says Lily.

'I've got lots of teeth! I have 6 coming thru at once! It's a bit sore sometimes but it's easier to eat biscuits. I love food that starts with B - brocoli, bread, biscuits, beef and bananas!' says Jack.

Lily says, 'I like to help Mummy bake. We make cakes, muffins and pikelets. The best part is licking the spoons and bowls!'

Apparently I (Mummy) said to Daddy I wouldn't dress the kids up matching however, Nana made these outfits and I just couldn't resist. Aren't they just gorgeous!?

'Mummy has been working hard with selling Avon to help raise money for Daddy to go over to Africa to help people. Daddy goes to work in the week. We brought a new car too. Mummy says it's a Nissan X-Trail. She loves it! Daddy loves it too. So do Jack and I because we can see everything out the windows.'

Lily is Miss Independent who loves to tell us what to do and run the schedule. She is a bright little girl and her words are coming along nicely. Jack is bubbly and happy but reserved with strangers. He can also get quite cranky when he doesn't get something he wants or Lily takes it away. They are both our joy and we feel very blessed to have 2 beautiful children.

Hello everyone,

This is our Daddy! It's been a while since we have written and I am 2 years and 2 months old! Jack is almost 6 months old. I helped Mummy and Daddy feed Jack for the first time the other day. It was fun watching Jack's mouth. I don't think he liked the cereal very much but he liked me playing air planes with it! - Lily

This is my big sister, Lily. She likes to read to me. She also likes to use me as a pillow sometimes. Daddy pulls her off me. I think she is very funny though. She makes me laugh. - Jack

Mummy and I like to be silly. See my funny face?! - Lily

I like to take off my socks and put them on my hands. It makes my hands really warm but then Mummy gets cranky coz my feet get cold.

This is Pip. She came to visit us and she is fun to play with.

This is my Granma and Dar. We had a big party for Dar near our house a little while ago. He turned 60. I love when they visit. I love going to their house too. They have cows and chickens. There is a big rooster too that chases after people. He is a bit scary! - Lily

This is my Aunty Kirsty. She Love to give me cuddles and kisses. There's my cousin Faith too! She gives me big cuddles too! She likes to come and see me when we visit and she talks to me too. - Jack

This was on our Queensland holiday. Mummy and Daddy took us on a long car ride all the way from our house in the blue mountains to Queensland for Daddy's cousin's wedding. We stopped off at a place where there was a big banana! Wow! I loved to keep running back and forth thru it! Jack thought it was cool too but just kept it to himself I think.

They made nice chocolate covered bananas. Mummy really like it so I shared it with her.

Here is Aunty Katy, Granma, Aunty Kirsty, Faith and Jack. They went to Queensland too for the Wedding.

I love my Granma. She gives lovely cuddles. Granma and Dar took care of me while Mummy and Daddy took Lily to Movie world for her birthday. They had a great time! I loved sleeping at Granma's and Dar's. They took Faith and I out for lunch too!

While we were in Queensland we went swimming, shopping and lots of playing. On the way home we stopped off at many places. This is in Grafton where we had a picnic.

Mummy's friend Sarah came to visit us with Isaac and his sister, Lucy. They were fun to play with and it was nice to have someone to sit with me at my table and have lunch. - Lily

Jack is a very placid little man. He is happy pretty well most of the time. Even when he is upset you can always manage to crack a smile. He hardly cries and just adores his big sister. He loves to watch whatever she is doing and follows her with his eyes. He loves being on the ground being able to spread out, kick and play with his toys. He grabs onto toys and puts them in his mouth. He has been healthy with only cold so far. He does a slight cleft pallet but not enough to make any difference to him at the moment. There is a 10% chance he may need something done when he can talk but we pray not. He is a lovely little baby.

Lily is a delight. She pushes her boundaries and throws herself on the ground at times in tantrums to try and get her own way. But most of the time she is a good girl who has very good manners saying "please" and "thank you". She is very bright and outgoing. She loves animals. She can count to 15 (but sometimes gets a bit mixed up after 10). She is also learning colours. Her vocabulary is getting bigger each day and I am surprised sometimes with how quickly she learns new words. She loves the outdoors, picking up rocks, sticks and dirt. She is a lovely, beautiful little girl.

It was mother's day a little while ago. I helped Daddy make Mummy eggs on toast. I got to have eggs on toast too! Jack was a bit slack and slept thru breakfast! We went up to Nana and Pa's for this weekend.

Uncle Ben, Aunty Christelle and Aunty Katie came up to Nana and Pa's too for mothers day. They have kangaroos and their house! I wish i could catch them. - Lily

We also went to have lunch at Granma and Dar's.

That's all for now. So many things have happened Mummy couldn't fit in all the photos. She has been busy lately trying to do some fundraising for Daddy. He is going on a mission trip to Zambia in October. So, she has started selling AVON to help fund the trip. It's going to be great coz we get to go and stay with Nana and Pa while Daddy is away.

Hello everyone,

Sunday the 29th March 2009 was a very special day for us. It was Lily's 2nd birthday and we also had Jack dedicated to God too!

Here is Jack in his lovely outfit for the occasion waiting patiently on Daddy's knee.

"I got to go up on the stage," says Jack "and Mummy and Daddy made promises to teach me about Jesus and take care of me. I think they do a good job!"

Our Pastor, Chadd did the service for us. Dar (Rohan's Dad) did the bible reading from Mark 10:13-16 and Pa (Amanda's Dad) said a prayer for us.

"Daddy put together some photos of me and Lily up on the big T.V." says Jack. Yes he did and it was a lovely presentation. "Thanks Daddy!"

"This is Mummy's friend's mummy, Pat. She gave me nice cuddles."

Lily says, "The whole family was there. It was great! These are some of them. It was my birthday too and we had a party after Jack's dedication. Mummy's friend, Aunty Treenie gave me this awesome guitar. I was dancing with it and really love it!"

"I got all these nice presents. Thank you so much everyone!" says Jack. "I wish I could play with them. Lily keeps wanting to play with my toys but Mummy says she has to wait till I can. I wish I knew how to move and get them."

"This is my party. Daddy says I'm 2 now and a big girl. Mummy made me a great cake with princesses on it. I loved it! All my family were there except Aunty Nellie and my cousins. Poor Aunty Nellie got bitten by a red back spider and was sick. My Mummy tells me to never ever touch spiders coz they bite. We have lots of spiders were we live" says Lily.

"This is my friend, William. He came with his mummy to my party. He is fun to play with. We played pass the parcel. Everyone was laughing...I'm not sure why.....Will and I loved opening the parcel and getting the things inside. My party was at Wentworth Falls lake. I love it there. There is a pirate ship you can climb on with a slippery slide."

"Daddy, Dar and Aunty Kirsten cooked sausages and we had a sausage sizzle. I love sausages."

"There were balloons in the trees." Lily says "I'm not sure how they got there. I don't think they grow on trees!"

"My family and friends gave lots of nice presents for my birthday. Thank you! I love playing with all my new things", says Lily.

"This is my brother. I am so proud of him", says Lily.

"I don't know why i keep getting put on a pink lounge. I don't like it!" says, Jack.

"Nana and Pa have just come back from PNG and are home for good. I love Nana and Pa."

Lily says, "This is my friend, Holley. Mummy she is a really bad influence. :)"

"This is Holley's sister, Jenna. We like to just hang out. Her Mummy and Daddy came to visit us as a surprise for Daddy's birthday."

Cuddles with Aunty Katie. Jack is now 4 months old. He is very cuddly and a happy boy. When he is on his tummy he has been trying to push his body forward but hasn't quite figured out how to move his arms too. It's funny to watch...he pushes his face and head into the ground!

"Lily keeps kissing me all the time. I love Lily. She makes me laugh!."

Lily is 2 and has a very bright, vibrant personality. She is doing very well with her words and is finding it easier to communicate with us. It's great knowing what she wants (most of the time). She loves to play with other children and know she will enjoy it when Jack can interact a bit more. She smothers him with cuddles and kisses all the time. It's lovely. Lily can count to 10 and is learning her colours. She likes the wiggles, high 5, vege tails, pooh bear, and more. She is still a very mouthy child and sure enough anything left around has been in her mouth. She likes to draw and play with play dough. She also loves to read books too. She can be very cheeky at times and there is certainly truth in the terrible twos! We are teaching her things like: crayons are not for drawing on the new Tv. And the candle wax must not be rubbed all over the piano keys. :) She is a good girl (majority of the time) and always likes to help around the house and with Jack. She is a ray of sunshine in our house, as is Jack.

We all went on a holiday to Queensland a couple of weeks ago for a family wedding. We will put photos in the next blog. The kids are such a joy in our lives and we thank God so much for them.

Hello everyone,

We had our first Christmas as a family of four in Dec, 08. "They made me wear this and I don't like this hat!" says Jack.

"Wow! Look what Santa left at our house for Jack and I!" says Lily

"He also bought me a great bike!"

"Nana and Pa came to visit and I met them for the first time. They gave me lots of cuddles and kisses."

"My Aunty Katie had a sleep with me."

"I love my Mummy. She gives me milk. I am 3 weeks old in this photo."

"I love my baby brother. He is a bit heavy though."

"Mummy and I have lots of fun together. When Jack is sleeping we get to do things like play with play dough, draw, ride my bike, play with the ball, go for walks. When Jack is hungry and crying Mummy lets me watch TV. I love to watch Vege Tales, Sesame Street, ABC kids, Santa Clause movies and more! I love the TV but Mummy doesn't like me watching too much."

"After Christmas Mummy and Daddy took me to Katoomba. This is my Uncle Ben. He is fun to play with."

Lily says "It's been hot at home and so Mummy and Daddy let me run under the sprinkler. It is great fun! I am now 21 months old. Mummy tells me it will be my birthday soon."

Jack says, "Mummy gives me my baths. I am 3 a half weeks old here. I like bath time. It's been hot and I like to lay in the water. I would like to go out under the sprinkler with Lily but I get too tired after drinking my milk."

Beautiful Jack is almost 4 weeks old here (2/1/09).

"Ner ner! I am 4 weeks old now!"

Such little feet! Hard to believe Lily's were this small once.

"I have been helping Daddy," says Lily "outside in the yard. See I have my own truck and shovel. Daddy even let me put in some small rocks in the wall he was building."

"This is my Mummy. She takes good care of me. I love her. I am almost 5 weeks old here" says Jack.

Just lying around.

"I like to smile! I am almost 6 weeks old here (16/1/09)."

It has been alot of fun being a family of four. "Jack is a bit smelly and doesn't do much but I still love him and kiss him all the time. He is nice to cuggle (cuddle!)", says Lily. "Lily is very noisy," says Jack, "but I like it when she comes and says hello to me and makes me smile. I learnt to smile this week (5 weeks old) and I'm trying to talk too! Mummy and Daddy love to talk to me and see me smile. Oh and I love milk!"

Lily has been saying lots of different words and able to communicate with us better. She copies us and wants to help us with whatever we are doing. We are attempting to start potty training but think it will be a long journey. We will see. Jack has settled in nicely to our family. He is a great sleeper and has slept from 4 to 7 hours straight at night. He is changing so quickly. As is Lily.

I am 20 months old!

Hello everyone!

Mummy says I'm 20 months old now and getting cheekier by the day! I don't know what she means!

This is my house. Daddy has built the deck down the side which I love to play on and we now have some grass too in front of mummy and daddy's room. I helped daddy spread the seed when mummy was at work. It was lots of fun playing in the dirt!

Mummy says the baby is coming soon. Due the 1st Dec. I decided to try out the baby's bed to make sure it was ok.

We had Christmas early this year with Daddy's family. It was so much fun! I opened as many presents as i could and called out "mine!!" Daddy kept telling me they weren't mine but i loved to play with everyone else's things. Here is my cousin Faith. She had a great time too!

Aunty Kirsty gave me this drawing board called an eisel. I love it! It's so much fun to play with! She also gave me some great books to read!

Granma and Dar gave me this kitchen to play with. While mummy is cooking I can cook too! Daddy got a tonka truck to play with. It's great to sit on!

Aunty Katy and Uncle Joel gave me this great see-saw. Carter, Faith and I had so much fun on it. We kept bumping each others heads as it rocked. Everyone laughed but I thought it hurt my head a bit! I didn't feel very well when everyone was here. But it was fun anyway. I got lots of other great toys too!

My cousin Carter is so much fun! He brought his mum, Aunty Nellie and his sister, Faith to our house a little while ago. We all went to the pool for a swim and it was great!

This is my friend Laura. I'm not sure why i can't see properly!

Daddy says I talk alot and Mummy agrees. I love to tell people all about my days and what I'm learning. I also like to copy what people say to me. I'm learning lots of new words all the time. Words like: purple, i can count to 5, 'oh no!', boat, ball, row row row (your boat), drink, more, again, poo poo, wee wee, pooh bear, teddy bear and lots more. I also like to sing. There is a tree stump out the back on the house I love to climb up on and stand there and sing. Mummy thinks it's funny.

I just finished at day care. Mummy said I can stay at home with her now on Mondays with her and the new baby. We have lots of fun together but I will miss my friends.

I love to read and sometimes I sit in bed and read. I'm now in a big bed and I love it! It's so exciting I run around on it! I have a new room too! Mummy says I'm a big girl!

I have to go now and do some drawing but I will write back and tell you when I have a baby brother or sister.

I am 1 and a half !!!

Hi everyone!

I'm now 1 and a half yrs old! Mummy and Daddy say that I've grown so much. I love to look at myself in the mirror and I think I've grown too and that I'm very pretty! Mummy and Daddy laugh at me when I do this. Here is a photo of my favourite character, ELMO! I watch him on tv on Sesame Street and I love to take him to bed with me too. Some of my other favourite shows are Play School, In the Night Garden (Mummy and Daddy don't like that one very much but I do), and watching shows with animals on them. My favourite animal is a puppy! I would love to have a puppy one day.

I also love to draw and colour in. Mummy puts my pictures on the fridge and Daddy looks at them when he comes home.

My Aunty Katie came to visit me. She taught me the sound a snake makes....'ssss'. I also can say 'moo', 'puppy', 'woof woof', 'baa baa', 'neigh', 'apple', 'turtle', 'pear', 'nanaa' (banana), 'chair', 'ball', 'amen' and more. Daddy says I'm saying things alot clearer now. I love to talk!

I'm very good at climbing and here I am sitting on the big chair on the deck my Daddy built. I love going outside. I get upset when Mummy doesn't let me out there. She says I'd go out there all day if she let me. I love to play in the dirt and rocks. They taste good too!

For Fathers Day I let Daddy sleep in, gave him some presents and cooked him breakfast. He thought I was very clever. I love my Daddy! I love Mummy too. We sing a song where Mummy sings "I love you, i love you. I do. I do." And I sing back "I do". Daddy sings it too. Mummy says Nana used to sing that to her when she was little.

Uncle Ben and Aunty Christelle came to visit us. They brought me a new hat! Do you like it!?

Aunty Treenie came to our house that week end too. She's a funny lady!

Mummy's tummy is getting bigger all the time. I always touch it and say 'baby!'

It was raining one day and I went and played in the rain. It was great fun! Thanks Granma and Da for my great rain outfit!

Mummy and I have so much fun together. She is going to stop working soon and I can't wait to have her at home every day!

A little while ago there was a special day at church and Daddy took me on the jumping castle. It was great fun!

Mummy takes me to mothers group on Fridays. Here are some of my friends Harry and William. We all loved the bubbles one of the other Mummy's brought one week.

We went up to see Granma and Da at the farm. It was my little cousin, Faith's 1st Birthday. My big cousin Carter is so much fun! I loved to follow him around and play with him.

Granma and Da got a new puppy named Jake. I loved to play with him!

Hello everyone!

I am 16 months old now and Mummy says I look older everyday. My Uncle Ben got married on the 19th July. I got to wear a pretty dress and have lots of fun. My new Aunty is nice, Aunty Christelle. She always wears lots of pretty shinny things that I can play with. I danced with Daddy at the reception. He was the best man.

Mummy wore a pretty dress too.

Here is my Uncle Ben and Aunty Christelle. She looked very pretty at the Wedding and Uncle Ben looked good too!

I met some of my cousins and they were lots of fun to play with.

It gets cold here in the mountains so i often wear my hat.

This is our new house! We finally moved in. This is Daddy and his friend, Dallas laying the driveway. I love my new house. Daddy says its a blessing from God. It has so much room for me to run around in and play.

Ive learnt lots of new words like Elmo (he is my favourite), bye, a,b,c,1,2,3, apple (sometimes I say 'bapple'), Granma, Katie, and more. Daddy says I'm very talkative and could speak under water with a mouth full of marbles. I don't know what that means but I do like to practise talking.

People also call me cheeky.

I like to climb into my toy basket sometimes.

Granma, Da and Aunty Kirsty came to visit us to help with the driveway.

Nana and Pa came to Australia to visit us. It was Pa's 60th a little while ago and we had a party for him. When he came in we yelled "surprise!" It was funny. I got to eat Chinese food and stay up late. Lots of people gave me big cuddles. It was fun!
I also like to climb in our TV cabinet.
I ride on my bike.

Mummy says i have the best smile!
One day Mummy turned on the shower and while she wasn't looking I decided to get in to surprise her. When she saw me she laughed and then I realised I still had my clothes on!

Daddy and I went for a walk to the post box one afternoon.

I'm very good at walking now and love climbing too! My favourite foods include grapes, yogurt, zucchini, biscuits, chocolate (when mummy lets me have some), tuna mornay and lots more. I love to give lots of cuddles and Mummy and Daddy say they love them! Mummy's tummy is getting bigger and when she asks where the baby is I point to her tummy. I think that's where it is. It's a bit funny coz I can't see it. But I think it's coming to stay with us before Christmas.

Well i better go. I have an ear infection today and don't feel very well. I might go and have a sleep. Many sloppy kisses and hugs to all.

Hello everyone!

It's been a little while since I've written so thought I'd better send a blog out. Ive got some big news! Mummy and Daddy said that I am going to be a big sister! I'm not sure what that means but Mummy has started to get a little bump on her tummy and they said something about bringing home a baby around the end of November. Mummy and Daddy seem excited so I'm sure I will be too.

I've started to walk too! Decided I didn't like crawling all the time and thought I'd try something new! Mummy saw my first step and was very excited. Now I'm getting better and better each day. I still fall sometimes and go back to crawling but I think I will get better.

I love bath times! Daddy is so funny....see, he did my hair!

Opps! You saw me naked!

I like to carry around spoons these days. They are great to chew on! I also like to sing to the other little baby in my room. She looks just like me and I love to look at her. She copies me all the time! I love to climb too. Up and down the stairs. Up on the lounge. My favourite TV show is Sesame Street because I love Elmo. I really love watching Vege Tails too!

It gets cold up here. So Mummy rugged me up so I could help her hand out the washing.

Mummy and I have lots of fun together! Mummy says she loves my kisses. She wipes her face sometimes. I think I'm a bit sloppy! Daddy tickels me and makes my laugh! He's lots of fun too! We go to the park and play. I love being outside.

Daddy says we should be moving before the next blog comes out. I can't wait to have a new room and big house to play in. Mummy is looking forward to it too. I've been helping Mummy pack. She puts things in the box and I pull them out and sort them for her. Mummy says I'm a big help.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, LILY!!!

Hi Everyone!

I am now 1 year old! Mummy and Daddy had a nice party for me on my birthday (29/3/08). We went to Wentworth Falls Lake. I like it there. I had a great time on the swing.

Mummy made me a great cake just like Whinnie the Pooh! It tasted yummy! There were other nice foods too like fairy bread, biscuits with faces, cup cakes.

Everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' and it was great! I liked the part where they went 'hip hip hooray!' It made me smile and clap my hands! Mummy helped me blow out the candle and Daddy helped me to cut the cake.

Mummy made up a pull pinyata where my friends had fun pulling the strings and then lots of lollies and toys came out!

I love my Aunty Katy. This was at Easter time. She is lots of fun!
We had a little party too at Easter coz Granma and Dar, Aunty Katy and Uncle Joel, Aunty Nel, Uncle Gav and my cousins couldn't make it to my party. So we had a big chocolate cake with a sparkler! It was pretty! and the cake tasted yummy!
We had a nice Easter with family. Mummy and Daddy were telling me that Easter is a very important time where my friend, Jesus died on the cross on good Friday and rose on Easter Sunday so that I could be his friend. I can't wait to learn more about my friend Jesus. We went to church on Friday and Sunday and heard the staff songsters. Mummy said that Nana used to sing with them. Nana has a nice voice. I miss them. They are coming home soon. They ring and talk to me. I like hearing their voices.
Daddy took me to my friend Jessie's 2nd birthday party. I had fun playing pass the parcel. Mummy was at work and so missed the party but we had a good time.
This is our house. It has a roof on now! Daddy says it should be ready in a couple of months. I can't wait!

I've been able to stand on own for a little while. At Easter I got every ones attention by screaming and then i let go of the table and stood on my own clapping my hands. Everyone thought I was funny! Mummy says she doesn't think it will be too long before I'm walking. I love eating yogurt, grapes, and breakfast. When I go to day care I get upset sometimes to leave Mummy but after she has left I feel better and have a good time with the other kids. I love going outside into the sand pit. It's so much fun! I get to see more of Daddy now because he picks me up from Day care and he looks after me on Fridays when Mummy is at work. I like spending more time with Daddy.

Hello Family and Friends!

I am 11 months old now! Mummy and Daddy said I'm growing to be a big girl! We went on our first family holiday at Budgewoi in February. It was great fun! I went to a place where there was lots of water and sand! Daddy called it the 'beach'. I was a little scared of the waves to begin with but Mummy and Daddy were having such a great time that I decided to join in! Do you like my sunnies?! I liked playing in the sand. It felt nice in my fingers.

This is me on my first day to day care. I got a new bag with Elmo. I like Elmo. I go there every Monday while Mummy goes to work. Then Daddy picks me up when he has finished work. I like it there coz there are lots of other kids to play with. I do miss Mummy and Daddy a bit. I get to spend more time with Daddy now that Mummy is back at work and I like that. Daddy plays with me on Fridays too. Mummy goes to work after lunch and then Daddy takes care of me. We have a great time!

Granma, Dar and Aunty Kirsty came to visit us at home before our holiday. We had a nice time at home in the morning while Daddy and and Dar went to a Men's breakfast. We then went to Leura for lunch. I like seeing Granma, Dar and Aunty Kirsty. I miss them.

This me asleep. I love my teddy! And this is our house! I got to go into my room but it's a bit cold there at the moment with no walls. Daddy said they will go up soon!

These are my cousins. Carter and Faith. They came to visit us on our holiday. Carter came with me to the beach and it was really fun watching him on the boogie board.

Lily was dedicated (presented) to God on the 6th Jan 08. This is where we presented Lily before the Lord as Jesus was presented in the Temple by his parents. In doing so we recognised that God is the creator of all things, and He gives to parents the work and joy of bringing children to birth and nurturing them. In the promises we made we are commited to fulfilling those responsibilities.

Nana sang a lovely song called "He knows my name". Graeme from church played the piano.

Steve (our Senior pastor at Springwood Baptist Church) conducted the service. Pa read a bible verse.

Mummy made a big cake. Family and friends made lots of other lovely foods too. Then we went out for a nice lunch at Hazelbrook Chinese Restaurant.

Thank you to all those who were able to share in this special day with us and for the lovely gifts too.

Lily is 10 months old!

Hi everyone!

This is a bit late but a little while ago Mummy said that I was 10 months old! Daddy says I'm such a big girl!

Nana and Pa had to go back to PNG but we had a nice time with them while they were here. It was sad to say goodbye. They will come and visit soon.

It was Mummy's birthday and Daddy took the day off work and we all went out for the day. We had a nice time and Daddy suprised Mummy when we went to a park. Some of our friends came too and we had a big cake! It was a great suprise coz then i got to see some of my friends too! Here are my friends Laura and Caleb. Mummy took me on the slippery slide. Weeeee!

Daddy pushed me on the swing. What a fun time!

We also saw Uncle Ben, Aunty Christelle, Aunty Katie, Uncle Ross and Aunty Treenie for Mummy's birthday. We went out for dinner and I got to stay up late. Here I am giving my Mummy and big kiss!

It was our friends Nick's birthday too just after Mummy's so we went out to the Megalong Valley and I went for a swim in the creek! Here I am with Mummy and Sarah (Nick's wife). It was a fun day too!

I am saying lots of words like "ta", "bubba", "mum", "dad", "bum"(i think i accidently get mum mixed up with bubba!), "da", "nan" - i say this when i dont want to do something, "pa", "mmm". I have 4 teeth so far. And I try to crawl as fast as i can when Mummy chases after me! I like to stand alot and want to walk but i'm still practising!

Daddy says our house has 2 big water tanks at the back and the house will go up very quickly. I'm not sure what that means but I'm sure I will see soon.

I'm getting a new aunty! Uncle Ben is getting married soon to Christelle. Mummy says I will get to wear a new dress. I can't wait!

Hello to all my family and friends!

So much has happened! I had my first Christmas! It was so great! Mummy and I sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. It was a great birthday party that went on for 5 days! I got to see my whole family! They gave me so many nice things. Nana, Pa, Aunty Katie, Uncle Ross, Uncle Ben and Christelle came to our house for Christmas and we also went to Granma and Da's farm.

Mummy and Daddy gave me this bag. I'm so clever I can sit in it! They gave me some really fun toys too! I got a train the moves and plays music. I like to dance to it. My family gave me lots of toys and some nice clothes too.

This is my big cousin carter and my little cousin Faith. We had lots of fun at Christmas. Carter is fun to play with. He showed my how to roll a ball.

When I stand next to Faith she is almost as tall as me but Mummy says I'm 5 months older. When we are bigger we will play together.

Granma and Da like to give me big cuddles!
This is my Da. He makes me laugh all the time.

Daddy gave me a special book for Christmas about a princess.

Aunty Treenie came to visit us and she gave me a fire truck that i can ride on. It plays music and so is so much fun!

Mummy makes me smile. This is Granma and Da's Christmas tree. I love Christmas trees. Mummy and Daddy smile when i look at them coz they make me laugh!

Mummy and Daddy said they are building me a brand new house. Here is a photo of the workmen pouring what Daddy calls the "slab".

My Nana and Pa came home for Christmas. It had been a long time since I had seen them and I didn't recognise them at first. But now they have come over lots and we have fun together. Mummy taught me to say Nan as a surprise for when they came back but i surprised them by saying Pa as well! Pa thinks my blue eyes are really nice. Pa has blue eyes just like Daddy. I can also say Bubba. Mummy always calls me Bubba.

Nana has bathed me a lot lately. I love the bath!

Mummy and Daddy took me swimming and for a picnic at Lawson pool. It was lots of fun! I was crawling around in the little pool. Daddy says i crawl very well now. I even stood up in my cot the other day! I wish I could walk. Nana says it wont be long before I walk. I am eating lots of yummy foods like spaghetti boglanaise, tuna mornay, veges, fruit, yogurt, cheese and lots more! I love food!

Well, i have to get back to playing with my new toys and books.

To all my family and friends,

I have been really busy this last month. So many things have happened. Mummy tells me it's Christmas soon and so she was putting this funny hat on my head to take photos. It was a bit scratchy but we had lots of fun! Mummy has been reading me the story of Christmas about baby Jesus! I love it!

My gums have been a bit sore lately and one morning I woke up and there were 2 little things sticking out! Daddy calls them toothy pegs. Can you see them?

I have been practising rocking back and forth on my knees getting ready to crawl. I practise in my cot but I bang my head sometimes. Today (29.11.07) I suprised Mummy and crawled for the first time! It's so much fun! I want to do it all the time. I end up under the lounge and table sometimes and bump my head. But Mummy always gives me nice cuddles and makes it feel better. Daddy says I'm very cheeky!

I love bath time! Daddy was making me smile for this photo. I love when Daddy gets home from work and plays with me in the bath.

I love to play on the floor. I can sit up all by myself now! But I do fall

over sometimes. I have learnt so much! I can talk now too! I can say Dad, Dad, Dad! Mum. And Mummy is trying to teach me Nana to suprise Nana and Pa for when they come home to see us. I havn't seen them since I was 9 days old, Mummy tells me.

I miss them and can't wait to see them!

Lily is 7 months old!

To all my beautiful family and friends,

Mummy tells me I was 7 months old yesterday so thought I'd better write to you all and send some more photos.

I like to play on my play gym. It's so much fun! I kick my legs and laugh at my toys. I'm getting really good at rolling all over the floor. Daddy one day came to find me and I was hiding under the lounge!

Mummy and I have so much fun at home together. She makes me laugh and smile all the time!

I like to help Mummy with the washing

Mummy took me to meet her school friend named Amanda, just like Mummy's name. I got to play in her boat which had toys just like my play gym.

Mummy and Daddy always tell me how beautiful I am! I like eating big peoples food. Daddy says I eat alot for a little girl.

Mummy, Daddy and I went out for the day. They put something on my eyes and it all went dark. It's a bit funny coz Mummy and Daddy put things on their face too. But it was good coz then I could see better!

Mummy and Daddy took me to a place where there was lots of water, like my bath. I was a bit scared coz there were lots of noisy people! Can you see my face with Daddy?! He made me feel safe in his arms though. After a little bit I let go of his hand and started to play with the water. Then Mummy and Daddy played a game with me where they passed me back and forth. It was so much fun! I would like to go again soon.

Lily is 6 Months old!

Hello to all my friends and family!

My mummy says I'm 6 months old now! I'm not quite sure what that means but I think I am getting bigger every day! I know this coz when I stretch my legs out in bed I touch the end! So, now when we go out I have to use what mum calls the port-a-cot. It is a lot bigger than my bassinet and I like it. I am very proud of myself coz I can try and stand up with mummy or daddy's help. I laugh and look over where my clothes hang....and it's funny coz there is another baby looking at me! I laugh at that other baby and she laughs back. I'm not sure how it works but I look there and Mummy is with that baby but she is holding me too! She is a very clever lady!

Mummy and Daddy gave me some funny stuff in my mouth the other day. I didn't really like it at first but now I think it's alright! Rice cereal, mummy calls it. I have tried avocado and pumpkin too. But I'm still getting used to it. I like to grab the spoon and rub the food all over my face. Even sometimes in my hair! But then I have a lovely bath. I like bath time.

Mummy and Daddy took me to Grandma and Da's farm the other week and there was another baby there named Faith Lesley Jones. Daddy said that she is my new cousin. Can you see me, Faith and Carter, her big brother in the photos? Aunty Nellie gave me big cuddles. I like her. Carter gave me cuddles too. I like to watch him play. He is very fast and makes me laugh! We went out to lunch with Grandma and Da. The lady working there kept looking at me and telling me how gorgeous I was. That made my Mummy and Daddy smile!

My Great Aunty Debbie, Great Uncle Graeme and cousin Jonathon came to visit us too. That day I was sucking on a rusk. It was yummy! They are nice people and Aunty Debbie looks a bit like my Nana. I miss my Nana and Pa. But Mummy says they will be coming to visit us at Christmas. I hope that's not too far away.

We moved house too! I love my new room! It is so big and nice. I got to see Aunty Katie, Uncle Ross and Uncle Ben too coz they came to help. Aunty Katie looked after me while Mummy and Daddy were busy. Thank you Aunty Katie and thank you Uncle Ben and Uncle Ross for helping us move. Daddy says we will have an even nicer home soon. Mummy said we are building it. I wonder what that means!?!?

I wore my first dress the other day to church. It was red and Mummy said I looked pretty! I like going to church. There are lots of nice people there and I like the singing. Mummy sings to me all the time and some of the songs I think are from church coz we always sing about my friend, Jesus. He takes care of me.

Mummy and I have a lovely time at home. She make me laugh and smile and takes good care of me. My Daddy is great too! He makes sure I'm ok before he leaves to go to work. He even changes my nappy and then brings me into Mummy so I can have some milk. I love my Daddy! I like to see Mummy and Daddy's faces and I smile and talk to them saying "I love you". Mummy says my laugh is the best noise in the world! Daddy says that my smile keeps him going thru the day. My Mummy and Daddy are the best!

Lily is 5 months old!

hello all,

As you can see with the photos mummy helped me put on here...I've been learning lots of new things! I can hold my bottle myself. I get so excited when I see it coming. Mummy and Daddy laugh at me coz I kick my legs and my arms shake! I like milk! My toys are fun to play with. See how cuddly my teddies are?! My duckie can fit his whole head into my mouth!

Mummy and Daddy said we are going to see Grandma and Da next week. I can't wait to see them! I miss seeing Grandma and Da. Mummy says I will meet my new cousin, Faith Lesley Jones. It will be nice to have a girl cousin to play with.

Uncle Ross and Aunty Katie came to visit me. They are fun to play with. They are coming up soon to help us move. So are some of Daddy's friends and Uncle Ben. We are moving to what Daddy calls a townhouse.

My Daddy thinks I'm so beautiful and he keeps trying to eat my face. He calls them kisses!

I wore my first dress to Church and people said I looked very pretty!

Lily is 4 months old! 21st June - 29th July

Hello all!

I am free from the brace! Yay! Mummy took me to the doctors on the 10th and he said my hips are much better now and I don't have to wear the brace anymore. It's great coz I can kick my legs out. I love to sit under the play gym and kick and talk to my toys. It's great fun and mummy and daddy love to watch me play. Can you see my friend, Duckie!? We have a great time hanging out! I started to roll over the other day. Mummy was very excited! I tricked her...she went to the toilet and I rolled over when she wasn't looking! but I did it again so she could see.

I can't see Nana and Pa because they are a long way away so mummy took a photo of me with them....it's nice to look at their photos.

Aunty Katy came to visit one day. She was fun to play with. She changed my nappy and gave me cuddles and kisses.

Mummy's friends Pip and Sarah with her baby Isaac came to visit us the other day. It was nice to place with Isaac and give big cuddles to Sarah and Pip. I like them. :)

My friend Caleb and I like to play together. Can you see us in the photo? Caleb's mum says he's my boyfriend. Daddy says I have a big dowry on my head. I don't know what that means but I like to play with Caleb. :)

Mummy took me to see the nurse and I weigh 6.1kg and 62cm long. I'm a big girl! Mummy tells me all the time how fast I'm growing up.

Daddy came home from work the other day and was a bit sick. I ended up with what Mummy called a 'cold'. My nose kept running and I would sneeze. It is funny when I sneeze..it tickles my nose! Sometimes stuff flies out of my nose onto Mummy and Daddy. They laugh...so it must be funny! :)

I went on my first train ride with Mummy and Daddy to Springwood the other day. It was so much fun! It goes so fast and my eyes couldn't keep up with the trees outside! I had good fun!

Lily is 3 months old! 7th - 20th June 2007

I'm a big girl now! I'm 3 months old! I have learned so much in 3 months. I've started to talk, I can smile and giggle, I can hold my head up, I can cry, poo and wee! I can follow people around a room, I can poke my tongue out, I can kick my legs, I can dribble. Wow! So many things and mummy and daddy are very proud of me!

Well, I've been busy in the past 2 weeks. I went all the way to Ramond Terrace to Grandma and Da's farm. It was a very rainy weekend. So much rain that we almost didn't make it home again. Daddy called it a flood. I wasn't worried but mummy was talking about maybe going home by a boat. I wonder what a boat is?! We had a lovely weekend with Grandma and Da, Aunty Nellie, Uncle Gav, Aunty Kirsty and Cousin Carter. Cousin Carter was lots of fun! He was trying to teach me to dance and I loved to watch him. I gave everyone lots of cuddles and kisses and lots of smiles.

Mummy took me back to the physio to have my brace refitted on the 12th. They put on a brace that was not very comfortable so Daddy took me back on the 15th to have the first one put back on. Can you see me in it in the photos? I look forward to having it off so I can kick my legs all the time. Mummy also took me to see the baby doctor on the 13th. He said that I was gorgeous and Mummy agreed. He said that I was looking great and was putting on the right amount of weight. I weigh about 5.2kg at the moment. Daddy likes my chubby thighs! He calls me chubby bubba! I still take Mummy's milk and some bottles later in the day.

Mummy, Daddy and I went to Aunty Katie and Uncle Ross place on 15th - 17th. We had a great time. Uncle Ben came to see me and his new girlfriend Christelle. She is nice and gave me my bottle. Uncle Ben gave me lovely eskimo kisses. I had a great time on Saturday night. Mummy and Daddy went out for the first time together and left me with Aunty Katie and Uncle Ross. I had fun with them and would love to do it again. Mummy and Daddy were very relaxed when they came to see me. I didn't get to see them till the next day though coz I was sound asleep in bed. Mummy said I am a good girl coz i slept for 11 hours that night. I liked watching TV at their place and I liked watching it from the bean bag.

I am such a big girl now that I have gone up from newborn nappies into crawler nappies! Mummy and Daddy are so proud of me! They always tell me that. It gets a bit cold in the mountains so I have to wear nice jackets. Can you see the one that looks like a teddy bear?! Lots of people stop to look at me in it. It's so warm!

Mummy took me back to tracillian for sleeping on the 18th. I did really well, the nurse told mummy. I am getting better at putting myself back to sleep and this makes Mummy and daddy very happy.

Mummy has been taking me to a new mothers group on Fridays. It's so nice. There are so many other babies to look at. They are funny!

Well, I think I might go and have a play under the play gym for a while. Lots of cuddles and sloppy kisses to everyone. Especially sloppy kisses to Nana and Pa!

Big hugs and kisses to everyone!

Grandma and Da came to my place and had a sleepover. Mummy liked having them here because they helped her with the housework. Also Mummy left me with Grandma and Da and went out to the shops. I think she really enjoyed that. I liked spending time with Grandma and Da.

Mummy took me to have my needles on 31st May. It hurt! But mummy gave my big cuddles and made it all better. Then I had big sleep and it was all ok because daddy was home when I woke up and he gave me big cuddles too and told me how brave I had been.

I'm still wearing the brace to help my hips. But Mummy and Daddy can take it off now so I can have a bath. It's nice coz then I can kick my legs out. The Doctor said that my hips are not too bad and the brace should only be only for 6 weeks. I hope that isn't too long.

Mummy took me back to that place called tracillian to help me sleep better. I was a bit grumpy that day and so we get to go again soon.

When I'm sleeping I like to suck my thumb sometimes. Mummy and daddy caught me one day. They said I was very cute!

Lily Grace McDonald's 7th & 8th week, 10th - 23rd May

Hello to all my friends and family,

I have had a very busy 2 weeks since I last wrote to you all. It all started when Mummy took me on the 10th May down to the hospital for an ultrasound of my hips. I didn't like it very much because the lady put gel on my hips and it was yucky and cold. The Dr then called Mummy on the 14th and asked us to come and see him. He said that Mummy and Daddy would have to take me to a person called a physio and have a brace put on. So, on the 21st Mummy and Daddy put me in the car and we went to have the brace put on. It feels a bit funny but doesn't bother me much. It made Mummy a bit sad but I smiled at her and told her it was ok. Mummy says it will help my hips grow better and make me big and strong. I can't have bath times for a little while but Mummy gives me a nice sponge bath in front of the heater. I like that. Mummy and Daddy can still gives me big cuddles! I love them very much!

Mummy and Aunty Katie took me to a place called Tracillian on 22nd where a nice nurse helped Mummy to get me to sleep better during the day. It was really good and it helped me to put myself back to sleep when I wake up. I feel much better now that I'm sleeping better during the day and I think Mummy and Daddy are happier too.

I have seen Aunty Katie alot lately. It's nice coz I love to give her lots of smiles and cuddles. She plays with me. Her funny faces make me laugh! Aunty Katie, Uncle Ross and Uncle Ben came to visit us on the 19th and 20th and we had a sleep over. It was lots of fun! Uncle Ben helped me drink a bottle and made me laugh. Uncle Ross also gave me cuddles and made me laugh. We all made a video to send to Nana and Pa who are a long way away in Papua New Guinea. I hope they like it. We went to a party at Lithgow. My great Uncle Graeme turned 50 and I got to meet alot of people. Mummy called them relatives. They were nice.

On mothers day I wanted to tell my Mummy how much I loved her so I got up and made her breakfast in bed. I cooked french toast, tomato and eggs with a cup of tea. Daddy did help me a little bit. I also gave her a pink pachmina and took her on a picnic after church. Mummy was very happy and gave me lots of cuddles and kisses! Thank you Daddy for helping me show Mummy how much I love her! On mothers day I also spoke to Nana on the phone. I'm talking alot more now and it makes Mummy and Daddy smile. I like to see them smile. They make me very happy.

Well, I'm a bit tired now so I will write again soon.

Hello, this is Lily again! Mummy let me use the computer seeing as I've been awake more now and like to play with Mummy and Daddy. I like to smile at them and I try to talk but only noises come out. I want to tell Mummy and Daddy that i love them. I think they know!

Daddy had to go to a course for work on Friday the 27th April so I went with Mummy and we said hello to some ladies Daddy used to work with. They were nice ladies. I even shared some of my vomit on one of the ladies shirts! We then went to Aunty Katie's house and Mummy had a big rest while I played with Aunty Katie. Mummy looked very tired that day so thank you Aunty Katie for helping me. I love you!

Daddy went back to work on Tuesday 1st May. I miss him when he's not home but I love to play with Mummy. We have done the washing together and cleaned the house. I'm a big help! I stay close to mummy in the baby harness. I like to be close to her. She smells pretty! I love when she gives me a bath and then she gives me a massage in front of a heater. It's so nice! We sometimes sit on the lounge and Mummy watches some TV while I take a nap on her tummy.

Daddy took Mummy and I away to a place called Gosford for 2 nights because he had to go to a conference there. It was a fun time! I met lots of new people that Daddy works with and they liked to look at me and give me cuddles. While Daddy was working I tried to help by making a few phone calls. All that talking made me feel thirsty so I had some water from Mummy's water bottle! Can you see the photo? I was sitting up too!

Mummy took me shopping in Gosford. It was the first time it was just her and I. I wasn't too happy though that day. I was very hungry and wanted to eat every 2 hrs so Mummy and I spent alot of time in the parents room. On the way back to see Daddy I was still very sad and crying alot. So much that I pooed all in the car seat. I think Mummy wanted to cry too but she didn't. When I saw Daddy I stopped crying and gave him a big smile! So, then Mummy cried instead. I gave her a big hug and made it all better!

On Thursday the 3rd May it was Pa's birthday so I called him up in PNG on the phone. Pa, the photos of me in the little turquoise/blue suit is my face when you were talking to me! I was very happy to hear your voice!

On the way to Gosford we stopped at Aunty Kirsty's place so Mummy could give me some milk. Aunty Katy was there too and she gave me, with Aunty Kirsty what they call 'Aunty kisses'. Can you see my face?! I'm not sure about this!

I had my first go on my play gym this week. It's so bright and I had fun! Daddy saw me roll myself over! Mummy was disappointed she missed it. I will show her again soon but I need to sleep for a bit to get strong enough to do it again.
